Ducky (David McCallum) may finally be thinking of changing careers in the next episode of “NCIS.”
In the episode titled “Exit Strategy,” the synopsis (according to Spoilers Guide) reveals that Ducky’s old friend, Cadence Darwin (Susan Blakely), will come to offer him a new opportunity. While very little has been revealed about the said prospect, speculations are rife that the medical examiner may be thinking of resigning from the NCIS and accepting a different job.
The promo hints that Cadence will ask him to have a lecture in front a group of people. In the clip, Ducky is manning an old-fashioned projector, telling his audience that the dead have their ways to communicate with the living.
Fans of the series are wondering if McCallum will also be leaving the series, just like Pauley Perrette. The actress who plays Abby recently announced her exit from the CBS show via her Twitter account. According to her, season 15 would be the last installment for her. She said she already made the decision to leave a year ago.
“So, it is true that I am leaving NCIS after this season. There have been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!),” Perrette wrote.
She continued, “It was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of for 16 years. All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration… I love her as much as you do.”
Meanwhile, episode 3 will also see Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) searching for his missing partner. The two will apparently be doing surveillance work when the man suddenly disappears. The search for the officer will lead the NCIS to another case, as new evidence will surface about a murder that took place more than a decade ago. To top it all off, a young boy will go missing, warning that more blood will spill if the perpetrator will not be caught soon.
“NCIS” season 15 episode 3 will air on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
